In this very first post, we begin to review all of the Park Hotel's that are located throughout the island of Ireland. We will find many modern Park Hotels along with some old style country hotels which are very peaceful.
We begin by reviewing the Park Hotel in Dungarvan,Co.Waterford and the town itself. This hotel is located at the mouth of the Colligan river in the west Waterford Town of Dungarvan, it is set in an ambient and peaceful location surrounded by trees and garden area just a couple of minutes away from the bustle of the town centre.
Once you enter the doors of this hotel you will get an instant impression of how your stay is going to be as you are greeted by the friendly receptionist straight ahead or if you are after travelling for quite a while and just need to relax and have a drink, you can sneak into the left hand side where you will find a cosy bar area that serves food and drink to your hearts content. I would have to recommend that you try the "100% pure irish beef burger" which is served with chips and salad.
If you arrive at your Park Hotel during the daytime and you would like to visit the town centre of Dungarvan, there are many things for you to do, you may just want to relax by the harbour and take in the views of the boats and yachts in front of you.
You can also try some of the local cuisine which I am sure you will fall in love with, if you are a fast food person then you definitely have to try "Genoas" take away.
If shopping is your thing, Dungarvan now boasts a brand new shopping centre where you will find all the latest brands and even a food court, I would recommend visiting the smaller boutique shops that are located around the town as you may find something nice for a bargain price.
If you have brought a car with you, it may be worth taking a visit out to "Mahon Falls" which is located about 10-15 minutes out the road the brings you to Waterford, once you get close to the falls there is a road which is called the "Magic Road", if you stop your car on this road, your car will begin to roll UP the hill. YES!! it rolls up the hill and if you do not believe me then you must go there and check it out for yourself.
As it gets later into the night, you may find that you might want to experience the nightlife in Dungarvan before resting in the Park Hotel Dungarvan ,you should visit a pub called "The Anchor" which is a very lively spot with loads of friendly people and I am sure if you ask them what nightclub to go to, they will tell you to go to "Creations Nightclub" where you can dance the night away.
You can fall or walk out the door of the nightclub and you are only a 5 minute walk to the Park Hotel where you can rest your head in a comfortable bed. They really are beautiful and comfortable rooms and you will have a good nights sleep and if you have any problems, one phone call to reception and they will solve your problem without hesitation.
I would rate this hotel 4 stars and I would also rate the town of Dungarvan 4 stars.
